Chairs for Charity
Minwax^® had six celebrities and designers express their personal styles by decorating one-of-a-kind chairs with Minwax^® stains and finishes. These extraordinary chairs were auctioned off on eBay's Giving Works charitable live auction page. Proceeds from the live on-line auction benefited Furnish a Future, a program of The Partnership for the Homeless.

Furnish a Future provides furniture to underprivileged families and individuals who are moving from homeless shelters and setting up homes in permanent dwellings. Over the past 15 years, Furnish a Future has helped more than 30,000 families in the New York City area.

Community Craftsman Award
Minwax® is announcing the winner of our 14th annual Community Craftsman Award program, an ongoing initiative to honor individuals and groups that have improved their communities by working with wood. Nominations for the 2006 Award have begun.

Furnish A Future
Minwax^® teamed up with "Furnish A Future", a program of The Partnership for the Homeless in New York City, in making a large furniture donation and conducting a how-to workshop featuring Bruce Johnson. The event was a great success as evidenced by the enthusiasm of the workshop participants and the gratitude of the Furnish a Future staff. See our photo gallery of the proceedings.
